8 tips to Keeping you Car Cooler in the Summer Heat

Although many of us enjoy the warmer summer temperatures, most of us do not enjoy the intense heat when getting in their car that has been parked in direct sun. Stay cool by using these tips to keep your car cooler when parked:
  1. Sunshades and Window Visors - Using a sunshade or window visor every time you exit your car for more than a few minutes is one of the most effective ways of keeping your car cooler.  Keep you car even cooler with a rear window sunshade.
  2. Dash Covers - Cover the dash of your care with a fabric or upholstered dash cover to make your car's interior more comfortable!  They will help keep the temperature down and protect sensitive vinyl from sun damage.
  3. Cover you Steering Wheel - Carry a small towel in your car to cover you steering wheel when you get out.
  4. Park in the Shade - When you have the choice, choose to park in the shade.  It will be well worth the extra walk if you are expecting to be parked for an extended period of time.
  5. Protect your Music and Shades -  Make sure all of you CDs, glasses and other delicate items are stored out of the direct sunlight.
  6. Park in a Garage -  Whenever possible, park in a garage.  The constant shade will make a huge difference compared to direct sunlight all day.
  7. Keep your Windows Cracked - Leave you windows slightly cracked to allow some ventilation and keep your car cooler.
  8. Cover your Seats - If you have leather seats, then you are well aware of how hot they can get in the warmer temperatures.  Carry a light blanket in  you vehicle and drape it over the seat when you park to help keep the seats cool.
Keep you vehicle cool, enjoy your Summer and Happy 4th of July to all of our friends, family and business associates!
