As you get ready to take your kids out for Halloween this year, consider discussing some basic rules with to help ensure a fun evening.  These rules are not all-inclusive and you may need to adapt them to your particular situation but hopefully these will give you some ideas for a safer Halloween!!    Younger children should always walk with an adult. Older children should always walk in a group. Bring and USE a flashlight. Wear brightly colored costumes. Use reflective tape or glow sticks to make your children are visible. Cross at crosswalks and make eye contact with drivers before you cross. Inspect all candy before allowing your child to snack. Older children should carry a phone if possible AND answer it when Mom calls.  We hope that you and your children have a fun-filled night of trick-or-treating - be sure to use caution and watch out for kiddos as they are crossing streets! This weekend our community has the opportunity to join efforts in ending cancer by participating in the Relay for Life Camden County ! These events bring people together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones and to fight back against the devastating disease.  The funds raised during the event go to the American Cancer Society to help fight the nation’s biggest health concern – cancer. Each team involved is asked to stay overnight and take turns walking or running the track.  The events are typically 24 hours long - cancer never sleeps so teams are encouraged have a least one participant on the track at all times. Come out and support the Bogeys & Beer Tournament on Tuesday October 8th to help raise money for Tori Walters. Hulett Chevrolet Buick GMC is proud to be a sponsor of the fundraiser to help Tori. Due to an unexpected and life threatening illness, she had to undergo brain surgery this summer. This unexpected event caused Tori to incur large medical expenses and miss work for several weeks. She needs our help and we want to see her get back on her feet!!
