List of Items for Your Vehicle Winter Emergency Kit

The temperatures have definitely taken a bit of a dip the past few weeks, and as we move towards the winter months, I am sure we will begin to see more and more dangerous road conditions.   Winter months bring mountains of snow, black ice and lots of slush to the roads that you travel on a daily basis, causing the normally harmless road to turn into a driving hazard.

If you don't have an emergency kit in your vehicle, here are a few things you may want to consider storing in your vehicle to assist you if you are stuck on the side of the road.
  • Flares
  • Blankets
  • Boots
  • Thick warm gloves
  • Extra set of warm clothing
  • Extra Coat
  • Small snacks/bottle water
  • Ice Scraper
  • A small Shovel
  • Tool Kit
  • Flares
  • First aid kit
  • Bag of abrasive material to create traction for spinning tires
  • Tire Chains
  • Engine Oil
  • Washer fluid/Wipers
  • Coolant
  • Flashlight
Old man winter is just around the corner so be sure to store these items soon to keep you warm and ease the stress of the unexpected emergency.

We encourage you to be prepared for unexpected emergencies before the dangerous road conditions arrive by scheduling an appointment with your local Service Department to check your fluids, tires, spare tire and engine.  You can schedule an appointment with our Service Department online or stop by Hulett Chevrolet Buick GMC to make sure you vehicle is in tip-top shape for the winter months.
