Maintenance Check List to Keep you On The Road!!

Life get busy and it can difficult to remember to keep up with your vehicle maintenance... however, if you neglect some of these important factors, they will sneak up on you when you least expect it.  Here is a basic maintenance check list that will help you keep your car in great shape.  Although you may be able to take care of some repairs and inspections, be sure to hire a certified service technician to help you with the more difficult items.

 Each Month
  • Oil level - Add oil if low
  • Hoses - Have a professional replace bulging, rotten or brittle hoses
  • Belts - Have a professional replace if worn, frayed or glazed
  • Tire Pressure - Add air if tire is too low
  • Coolant or Antifreeze - Add if too low
  • Air Filter - Replace if dirty
  • Tires - Look for damage or uneven wear
  • Every 3 Months
  • Oil and Oil Filter - Change oil every 3,000 miles or as recommended by manufacturer
  • Windshield Washer Fluid - Add fluid if too low
  • Power Steering Fluid - Add fluid if too low
  • Transmission Fluid - Add fluid if too low
  • Battery and Cables - Clean if corrosion appears
  • Lights - Check that all lights and signals are working properly
Every 6 Months
  • Wiper Blades - Replace if worn or brittle
  • Brakes - Have a professional inspect for wear and tear
  • Spare Tire - make sure you spare tire is fully inflated
  • Exhaust System -Have a professional inspect for rust damage or loose parts
  • Shocks - Have a professional inspect for oil seepage or wear.
