The 2012 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout

It is time once again for the 2012 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout!  Every year the Shootout proves to be one of the BEST Lake of the Ozarks Charity Events and this year is set to be even better!! The event is great for the entire family - there will be plenty to see and do for people of all ages.   The Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the United States and it has recorded speeds of 208 mph in the past two years. Some of the boaters claim the speeds are even faster!!   The 2012 race will incorporate new radar guns to ensure the most accurate speeds recorded.   With over 100,000 people in attendance for the various events, the event was able to raise $70,570 to give to local charities.  Local charities included eight different Fire Departments in the area. Child Safety Tips during the Hot Summer Months
