The Chevy SS made its debut in the Nascar Sprint Cup Series season and there was no disappointment from Team Chevy. The Chevy SS was proud to bring home a win at Daytona with Jimmie Johnson at the wheel, not to mention Danica Patrick starting in the pole position in the #10 Chevy SS. With the all-new production model Chevrolet SS pacing, Patrick, paired with Jeff Gordon in the #24 car, led an all-Chevy front row to the green flag. Once the race began, NASCAR fans were able to see the production SS pacing its racing sibling. The unique body lines, front grille and side vents are nearly identical across the two cars, building a strong visual connection between the two, but the relationship for Chevy fans and drivers goes deeper than looks.
