Child Safety Tips during the Hot Summer Months
Recently, there has been a lot of information about unattended children in vehicles during the hot summer months. In an effort to prevent unnecessary fatalities, The Team at Hulett Chevrolet Buick GMC is providing some information drawn from the KidsAndCars.org that will hopefully help educate families and give them some tips on avoiding these devastating mistakes. Statistic show that on average, 38 children die in hot cars each year from heat-related deaths after being trapped inside motor vehicles. That means on average, one child vehicular heat stroke will occur every 9 days. Even the best of parents or caregivers can overlook a sleeping baby in a car; and the end result can be injury or even death. Never leave children alone in or around cars; not even for a minute.
