Hulett Makes $20,000 Donation
In keeping with this mission, we are extremely proud and excited to announce that Hulett Chevrolet-Buick-GMC has donated $20,000 donation to Kids' Harbor, a local organization designed to help children who have been neglected or abused. The donation will help fund the completion of the lower portion of their facility. We are so honored to be able to help support such a wonderful cause!
About Kids' Harbor
Kids' Harbor is a child advocacy based out of the Lake of the Ozarks, serving the entire Lake Area, Fort Leonard Wood, and the surrounding areas. Because child abuse investigations are often challenging and frightening, this unique organization has made it its mission to help the victims and their non-offending family members as they navigate this difficult time.
Kids' Harbor provides their services to children ages 0-18 free of charge. They work predominantly with victims who have been referred by the Children's Division of Missouri Department of Social Services, Law Enforcement, and/or Juvenile Authorities. Most of the children they work with have been victims of sexual abuse, but Kids' Harbor helps children through a variety of different situations, including witness to violence and drug endangerment, physical and medical neglect, and physical or emotional abuse. Kids' Harbor can assist with every step of the recovery process, including forensic interview, forensic medical exams, counseling, and advocacy. Everything they do revolves around one key, central mission: to lessen the trauma these children experience.
Kids' Harbor and the NAP Assistance Program
In order to keep up with the high demand of children being referred to their agency, Kids' Harbor is working to finish the lower level of their building in Osage Beach. Upon the completion of the lower level, the agency will be able to expand their services and reduce their long waiting lists.
Kids' Harbor is excited to announce that they have been awarded $299,662 in 70% of Missouri State Tax Credits through the Missouri Department of Economic Development's Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) in support of their basement completion project. The NAP program allows qualified donors to take tax money they would have paid to the Federal and State governments and instead give that money directly to helping kids in our local community by funding the basement completion project for Kids' Harbor.
It is through this NAP assistance program that our car dealership in Camdenton, Missouri was able to make our $20,000 donation to this outstanding organization.
