Summer is here! Can you feel it? The smell of fresh cut grass, kids playing everywhere you look, and the traffic. Oh, the traffic! Even though the ‘official’ start of summer is still a few days away, the Lake of the Ozarks is already in the full swing of summer! In this week’s blog, your Hulett Chevrolet Buick GMC dealer will talk about some June events to be sure and put on your calendar.
Live Music
Who doesn’t like listening to live music- especially outdoors? The Lake of the Ozarks is home to some great outdoor venues and the lineup for the month of June is awesome!
On June 7th, the Outlaws and Renegades Tour is coming back to the Lake! Travis Tritt and The Charlie Daniels Band will be at the Ozark Amphitheater with special guest, The Cadillac Three.
June 8th features the nation’s top rock & roll cover band, Hairball, at Lazy Gators. Shady Gators Epic Summer Concert Series features bands of all genres with shows all summer long. Check out their website for the full concert schedule.
Diamond Rio returns to Shawnee Bluff Vineyard on June 14th. Bring the whole family for this all-ages show, and be sure to stick around for an amazing fireworks display!
On June 22nd, Old Dominion takes the stage at Ozarks Amphitheater with The Make It Sweet Tour! Special guests include Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr. and Murphy’s Ford.
The Lake is going to get a lesson in Country Grammar. On June 28th The St. Louis boys Nelly and Chingy hit the stage at the Ozarks Amphitheater. Don’t miss this huge event!
The Epic Summer Concert Series at Shady Gators continues on June 28th with a live show from the Texas-based Randy Rogers Band! (We hear there are still private cabanas available!)
June 28th – June 29th has live music at the Toad. Five Turn Knot, Jefferson City’s very own “let’s have a great time” band, kicks it on the outdoor stage both Friday and Saturday!
June 29th Craig Morgan is live at the Vineyard! Shawnee Bluff presents one of country music’s best-loved artists. With over 20 songs making the Billboard charts, this is sure to be a night of sing-along tunes.
June 29th also features Gary Allan on the Ozark Amphitheater stage. The country music veteran will be singing all your favorites, with special guest Sunny Sweeny, so be sure to look for the smoke rings in the dark!
The Canine Cannonball
This event is a MUST! Back for its 14th year, the Canine Cannonball is a great family-friendly event. Held at Dog Days Bar & Grill, these high-flying doggies will compete in three categories, Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve. This is a weekend-long event scheduled for June 7th through June 9th. Come out for a splashing good time!
Folds of Honor Charity Fundraiser
On Father’s Day Weekend, June 14th through the 17th, Camden on the Lake Resort and the Horny Toad Entertainment Complex will host the Folds of Honor Charity Event. This event provides the opportunity to give back to American Heroes and their families through this awesome organization. Featuring live music by Dr. Zhivegas on both Friday and Saturday night with no cover charge. $1 from every Budweiser product sold will be donated directly to the charity. Plus, there is a golf tournament that Monday at Osage National Golf Resort. Sponsorships are still available for this great event. These are just a few of the great events planned around the Lake of the Ozarks for the month of June.
